10. Island of the Dolls (Season 12, Episode 4)
When Zaks decided to take the team to the Island of Dolls in Xochimilco, Mexico, he was probably not ready for the scares that would follow. Aside from the frightening sights of dolls hanging on a tree, other strange things were uncovered.
They would hear strange noises from their arrival despite being the only ones on the island. This was later followed by men’s voices from the Spirit Box, cold frequencies of energy, an unexpected fire in the pit and then Zaks gets three strange bruises on his arm from holding Harold the Haunted Doll,” which had a loose arm, and it was the same arm.
9. Abandoned In Elko (Season 24, Episode 8)
You may have to watch this episode with the lights as even the team revealed that they were affected by the dark energy of Elko, Nevada’s haunted Commercial Hotel and Casino. This abandoned hotel is famed for its rough history of lawless cowboys, cutthroat gamblers, and exploited women.

8. Idaho State Tuberculosis Hospital (Season 18, Episode 12)
During the Second World War, the Idaho State Tuberculosis Hospital saved and accommodated at least 150 patients who suffered from the deadly cough. Howbeit, it turns out that years later, the once life-saving hospital became an inn full of disturbing scenes.
According to the story, the new owners of the inn tragically lost two children as this episode unfolds. Other disturbing stories surrounding true sorrow and loss are explored. In all this, the surveillance has captured many horrifying scenes making this episode one of the best to watch.
7. Hell Hole Prison (Season 12, Episode 8)
Don’t expect anything usual in this episode as prisons are often shrouded in tales of fear and violence. However, this episode defies the typical prison narrative. With the SLS technology used by the crew, they capture evidence of surprisingly friendly spirits.
Rather than find scenes of tortures and the like, the team captured a spectral band performing on stage and it seemed more like a whimsical concert than a ghost hunt.
The site still operates today as a historical museum under the care of Arizona State Parks and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

5. Haunted Harvey House (Season 11, Episode 5)
If it wasn’t called a haunted site, the Ghost Adventure Crew would have never visited. The crew became the first to be given access to the Castaneda Hotel, one of the Fred Harvey Company’s most famous hotels in New Mexico. The site is said to be haunted by several spirits and people have claimed to witness something strange or spooky.
In this episode, one moment that struck fans was the shadow figure across the doorways. Using advanced technology, the crew also captures several strange voices and strange orbs. From the hallway to the basement and every room in the building, there is just something to leave your heart skipping.
4. Cecil Hotel (Season 21, Episode 5)
This list of the best Ghost Adventure episodes would not be complete without the Cecil Hotel. This episode has seen multiple suicides, murders, and even satanic worshipping inspiring books and films.
As the crew investigated the site, they experienced several physical afflictions including unexplained scratches and that’s not even the biggest scare. Bagans gets his breath hanging as the bathroom water faucet in one of the rooms suddenly turns on by itself.
3. Twin Bridges Orphanage (Season 13, Episode 9)
This is another “Ghost Adventure” episode that left fans shaking hands and feet. Here, the team ventured into the historic town of Twin Bridges, Montana to visit an old orphanage rumored to be haunted by numerous spirits. According to some reports, the site has a dark history that can never be forgotten as there have been several unexplained child deaths. It also harbored stories of depression loneliness and harsh discipline.
What left this episode terrifying was the crew trying to connect with the spirits of these children as well as their caretakers opening the audience to more fears of something darker and bigger.
2. Demon House
This episode stands out as one of the most terrifying in the Ghost Adventures series, with the house past amplifying the sense of dread. Despite its fearsome reputation, Zaks purchased the house to carry out his investigations.
At the beginning of this episode, scenes from demonic possession start to unfold and later, the team encounters intense paranormal phenomena. But it doesn’t end there
From terrifying growls echoing in the dead of night to shadowy figures moving through the house, the experiences were nothing short of harrowing. Zak decided to demolish the house in 2016 to end its long history of fret.
1. Route 666 (Season 16, Episode 6)
This episode has found its place on this list as one of the best in the “Ghost Adventure” series as it was filmed at was filmed at two of Lantana, Texas’s most haunted locations – the DeSoto Hotel and Goatman’s Bridge. While other episodes have recorded scenes that send shivers, this episode forced one of its team members Wasley’s wife to leave the show following intense experiences.
Some paranormal activities recorded include a ceiling fan being hurled across a room, and the light a light mysteriously turning on and off by itself in the DeSoto Hotel. More unfolds at the Goatman’s Bridge as different weird and disturbing sounds are heard. In the latter scenes, Billy Tolley could see shadowy figures that caused him to call the police in the nearby cemetery.
