Warren hails from a family of famous people whose business exploits began before Warren was born. His great-grandfather, Sidney Homan Buffett was the founder of Buffett & Son grocery and was one of the most famous grocers in the United States.
It was at this same company that Warren’s grandfather Ernest P. Buffett worked and employed Warren when he was in high school.

Buffett has been married twice. He married his present wife, Astrid Menks in 2006 when he was 76 and Menks was 60.
Menks was Buffet’s first wife’s friend. She met Susan (Warren’s first wife) when she (Menks) was a cocktail waitress at a bar where Susan was an occasional singer.
Menks finally met her now husband Warren in 1978 when Susan asked her to look after him. They became friends, started a romantic affair, and married in 2006, 2 years after Susan passed away.
