American actress and singer Lola Tung is multiracial. She is partly Asian, from her maternal side, and European, from her father’s side. Although she is mostly described as Asian-American, her nationality is American.
She rose to fame for portraying Isabel “Belly” Conklin in The Summer I Turned Pretty, the main character of the Amazon Prime’s television production.

Born on October 28, 2002, the actress has a rather interesting ethnicity. She is of mixed ethnicity from her mother who is partly Swedish and Partly Chinese.
Her maternal grandfather left China when he was 16 and moved to the United States where he started life in Missouri. It was here that he met her maternal grandmother who was Swedish.
The mother of Lola, Pia Tung, revealed that while growing up, she found it difficult accepting her hritage which she sometimes found embarrassing.

Lola Tung may be of multiple ethnic extraction, but she is American. She was born in the United States in New York. It was here that she was brought up together with her younger sister, Jenny.
Nonetheless, she she also describes herslef as Swedish. Lola spends a lot of time in Sweden because of how her mom was attached to Sweden.
Lola has not been so much attached to China because her mom revealed in an interview that she only went to China once sometime in the 1970s when she was still a child.

The Summer I Turned Pretty actress fell in love with arts since she was a child, thanks to the influence of her parents, both of whom are artistic. While her father was a musician,her mother had a brief stint as an actress. She had a credit in the 2000 film, Monotony.
It was thanks to their influence that Lola went to Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. She graduated with a major in drama in 2020. From there, she proceeded to Carnegie Mellon University.
Now a model, singer, an actress, Lola started acting since she was in middle school. She appeared in several productions including  Little Shop of Horrors and The Wizard of Oz. During her BFA acting program in college, she took part in some more plays.

The career of Lola before 2021 was only in school plays and drama. However, when she was 18, she got her breakout role in the Amazon production of Jenny Han’s bestselling trilogy, The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Detailing how she got the to play Bella, Lola revealed that it was her now-manager who first reached out to her after seeing her works on the internet to tell her of theaudition which she believed woyld be great for the young actress.
The priority of Tung at the time a ss a freshman was her school, bust she stull recordeda video and submitted, A few days later, she got a call fir her to test the role, Everything else followed on Zoom, and a couple of weeks later, she was offered to play Bella.
She revealed that when the role came, she called her mom immediately and the two cried over it on phone. It was after this that she got signed to the talent management agency, Creative Artists Agency.
The actress became famous for her role in the production which still remained her only TV appearance until 2025. In 2023, she appeared in the theatre productions of Set Me Free and Almost Famous.

Tipped to be great in Hollywood, she made her broadway debut in 2024 with her role of Eurydice in Hadestown. The portral earned her a  Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards nomination in the category of favorite replacement (female) in 2024.
The American actress has also made a fil debut in Untitled I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel, a movie that is set to be released in 2025.
