Unhealthy diet leads to one in five deaths.  According to a study by researchers at the University of Washington and published by the journal Lancet, a poor diet can cause high blood pressure and diabetes, which are linked to eating the wrong foods. Try sticking to the right diet, rich in whole grains, fruit, nuts and seeds.

2. Maintaining a healthy weight (body mass index between 18.5 and 24.9.)

Falling below or above your proper BMI isn’t safe. People who are underweight, with BMI below average, are regarded as malnourished and are susceptible to decreases immune function, osteoporosis and fertility complications. On the other hand, people with high BMI or obesity are vulnerable to chronic health condition like bone problems and asthma.

3. Avoiding excessive alcohol intake

5.  Smoking is completely off the chart

A study published in Lancet shows that 11.5% of global deaths were attributed to smoking, thus, smoking kills 1 in 10 people worldwide.

The research published online in the journal Circulation shows that people who follow live the healthiest lifestyles were 82 percent unlikely to suffer heart disease and 65 percent unlikely to die from cancer compared to individuals who lived unhealthy lifestyles over the course of 30 years. From the analysis of 34 years of data from more than 78,000 women and 27 years of data from more than 44,000 men, researchers estimated that women who adopted these five habits would see 14 more years of life, and men would add 12 years.

Well, it can’t be that complicated once you give it you give it your best short. After all, who doesn’t want to be forever young?
