Troy Dendekker, now in her golden age was the wife of Late Bradley Nowell, the lead singer and guitarist of the ska-punk band ‘Sublime’, who died of an overdose on heroin in the same year he took his woman and the mother of his son, down the aisle. Ever since Nowell’s demise, his widow had been popular and also a source of inspiration to people around her.

Troy Dendekker was born in Columbia, South Carolina of the United States of America on March 8, 1971, to David Newton and Robin Newton. She also had an only brother, Draak, who has already passed away. She celebrated her golden age in March 2021, hence the media’s newly found interest in her life.

Career

Bradley Nowell’s musical investment didn’t follow him to the world beyond. That is because Troy Dendekker who is also a musician took it upon herself to uphold the legacy her late husband built. Even though some members of the ‘Sublime’ musical band lost interest in the group, Dendekker ensured the band did not go down the drain. Hence, several albums had been released after Nowell was gone.

Before the tragedy that ended his life two weeks after he wedded his widow, Bradley James Nowell had a booming career. Born on the 22nd February 1968, in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, California, USA. He passed away on the 25th of May 1996 in San Francisco, California.

Nowell was reported to have died from an overdose of heroin. He was a musician, best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the Ska Punk band Sublime, which he co-formed in 1988, with Eric Wilson on bass and Bud Gaugh on drums. Their debut studio album, titled “Jah Won’t Pay The Bills” was released in 1991, followed by their second studio album “40oz. To Freedom” (1992).

The latter earned two platinum certifications in the US, and peaked at No. 140 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their third album “Robbin’ The Hood” aired in 1994 and was certified gold, adding a tangible amount to Nowell’s net worth. However, upon the demise of Nowell in 1996, Sublime disbanded but released their final self-titled album, which got very popular and reached No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Nowell had a son by the name Jakob James Bradley with his widow Troy Dendekker, who is currently married to her second husband.

Who is Troy Dendekker Remarried to?

Several years after Nowell, her musician husband passed on, Dendekker moved on with her life and found love again with Kiki Holmes a.k.a. Keith Holmes. The couple married on November 1, 2002, and remained together for over 18 years.

In October 2016, Kiki even shared a photo of his marriage certificate, dedicating it to his 14 years of togetherness. In the caption of his defunct Instagram post, he wrote: ‘4 years with the woman that I love so much. Feels like 36 years ha ha I love my wife and what we created together. #onlylove’

Similarly, on the occasion of their 15th wedding anniversary, Kiki shared a video clip featuring photos from their wedding which has been removed. Apart from Jakob, who was born from Dendekker’s first marriage, she has three other children: Rudy, Mary and a third daughter whose name is yet unknown. 

The mother of four shares a great relationship with all her children and often shares photos of them on social media. On the occasion of Jakob’s 25th birthday, she even shared a photo of all three kids.

Dendekker and Nowell’s Net worth

Troy Dendekker’s net worth is estimated to be about $3 million. This she inherited along with the band and other assets after the demise of her husband Nowell. As a musician and guitarist, before Nowell’s death he had a lot of released song collections which made great sales. Even after his death, the self-titled album he recorded was also released.

This was however their last album before they split. The record collection released by ‘Sublime’ after Nowell’s death got him an estimated profit of $3,165,342. All the profits from all the albums released as well as assets belonging to Bradley Nowell were allocated to Troy Dendekker.
