Many people are familiar with Seth Meyers because of the nature of his job as the host of popular NBA show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, but few are familiar with Seth Meyers wife Alexis Ashe who is not involved with Showbiz. But her work is no less commendable than that of her husband.
Seth Meyers, the American comedian, actor, TV host and commentator and writer is famous for his NBC talk show. He took over from Jimmy Fallon in 2014 when Fallon moved on to host The Tonight Show. While Seth Meyer’s wife is an American lawyer that specializes in human rights and violence against women such as sex trafficking and domestic violence. She is on the Executive Board of the New York State Anti-Trafficking Coalition and is also a member of Human Rights First. Although their careers are polar opposites, their marriage is thriving and is blessed with two kids.
Love is said to be found in all places, and what better place to find the love of your life than in the romantic setup of a wedding ceremony? The 37 year old attorney met Seth Meyers at a wedding ceremony and they hit it off right away, dated for a while and finally tied the knot in 2013.
Alexi Ashe’s Biography
Alexi Ashe was born in New Mexico United States to parents Tom Ashe and Joanne Ashe on April 1, 1983. Consequently, her zodiac sign is Aries. She has a sister Aries Ashe, who is an interior decorator with a decorating outfit co-owned with Reinaldo Leandro and named Ashe + Leandro.
Meanwhile, Alexis and her sister were raised in Albuquerque. Her Educational pursuit took her to Occidental College in Los Angeles where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Political Science and Government and graduated in 2006. She then advanced to Southwestern University School of Law in 2009 and upon the successful completion of the course, went ahead to obtain a Doctorate of Law in International Human Rights.
Seth Meyer’s wife has always been passionate about the issues surrounding Human Rights abuses and has offered her services to various causes on human rights. She took off with Human Rights First in 2012, where she worked as an intern while in Law school. After her graduation, she worked with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, in addition to serving as an Assistant District Attorney in the Brooklyn’s District Attorney’s Special Victims Bureau and Human Trafficking Bureau. Since 2012, She has been offering free legal services to victims of human rights abuses through Sanctuary for Families, a charitable organization that caters for victims of abuse. Due to her outstanding fight against human trafficking, through the New York State Anti-trafficking Coalition, Seth Meyers wife is listed among the New York city’s New Abolitionists.
Marriage to Seth Meyers
The beautiful Alexis Ashe said “I do” to the funny TV host at Martha’s Vineyard on September 1, 2003. The couple met at Chris Kattan’s wedding to model Sunshine Tutt in June 2008. Chris Kattan is a cast member of the Saturday night live show while Alexis’s sister Ariel worked with the design department. Therefore Ashe attended the wedding as a guest of her sister Ariel. Sadly, Kattan and Tutt’s marriage didn’t last as the couple broke up after just eight weeks.
Even so, something good came out of it because the event brought Seth Meyers and Alexis Ashe together and according to Meyers, he had a feeling that he was going to end up with Alexis when he set eyes on her. They dated for a period of five years before he popped the question and then tied the knot at the Chicken Mooty Farm in Martha’s Vineyard Massachusetts.
However, the wedding experienced some hitches as Seth Meyers wife suffered food poisoning from a bad oyster during her rehearsal dinner two days away from her wedding day. She was rushed to the hospital but was still unwell on the D-day. Luckily, the Chicago Bear’s doctor, Adam Bennett was a guest at the wedding and rendered help. Thus despite the nurse’s push for the postponement of the wedding, it eventually took place and the bride appeared smiling as she walked down the aisle.

Three years after their marriage, Seth Meyers and his wife Alexis Ashe welcomed their first child, a son named after her, Ashe Olsen Meyers. He was born on 27th March 2016 just 20 minutes after his parents rushed to the hospital in an Uber.
However, the birth of her second son was even more dramatic as Seth Meyer’s wife didn’t make it to the hospital and actually gave birth in the lobby of their apartment. Seth Meyers put a call through to 911 but the baby was already out by the time the Fire service and the police arrived the scene. Although they were in time to cut the umbilical cord. Neighbors were also on hand to provide warm towels for the baby.
The boy was named Axel Strahl with the second name given to honor Alexis’s grandparents. They were holocaust survivors who met a day after they were freed from Nazi Concentration camp in Austria and got married later on.

Meanwhile, Ashe is always seen with her husband on the red carpets of special events such as Golden Globe awards. The family is waxing stronger with the principles learnt from Meyers parents happy marriage. He explained that his wife always has a positive aura around her despite handling cases involving the nasty elements of the society each workday. Her cheerful disposition has also rubbed off on her husband by making him have a more positive outlook on life.
