Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson a.k.a., The Rock is an American semi-retired professional wrestler, actor and producer who has won the hearts of Americans as one of greatest professional wrestlers of all time.

From a  college football player for the University of Miami to a successful career in entertainment, Dwayne Johnson is not a WWE Champion and famous actor, but he is a social media influencer, with more than a whopping 130 million followers on Instagram. Among all the things that fascinate us about Johnson is his bizarre, more than average appetite for special kind of diet including a Carb depletion diet.

Dwayne Johnson’s Biography (Age)

Born on May  2, 1972, (age  46)  in  Hayward, California as the son of Ata and Rocky Johnson, Dwayne Johnson is practically from a wrestling family tree. His father was among the first black tag team to win the World Tag Team Championship in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF);  his maternal grandfather, Peter Maivia, a Samoan-American High Chief was also a professional wrestler and several of his uncles and relatives were professional wrestlers.

While living in Grey Lynn, New Zealand with his mother’s family, Johnson attended Richmond Road Primary School and other elementary schools after moving back to the United States including Shepherd Glen Elementary School, Hamden Middle School in Hamden, Connecticut, and President William McKinley High School in Hawaii.  He took interest in sports and played football at Freedom High School in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (PIAA) as well as wrestling and track and field.

The Rock started his journey to stardom as a football defensive tackle, with a full scholarship from the University of Miami. When he cut off two months into the season on the practice roster as a backup linebacker for Calgary Stampeders in 1995, Johnson decided to join the family business – wrestling.

With his legacy in wrestling including being described as “the biggest superstar in the history of WWE” by 16-time world champion John Cena,  Johnson became one of the highest paid and most successful actors in Hollywood. He is frequently featured in movies, television and reality shows. For his first leading theatrical role in The Scorpion King in 2002, Dwayne Johnson was paid $5.5 million, which is a world record for an actor in his first starring role.

The Rock as we know him is still thriving in the entertainment and remain a favorite among fans, both adults and children.

Height and Weight

At a height of 6 feet 5 inches ( and a weight of 262 lbs (119 kg), The Rock is not a man that can be missed in a crowd. His overall body weight is measured as follows:

Chest: 50 inches

Waist: 35 inches

Arms/Biceps: 20 inches

Shoe size: 14 (US)

Hair Color: Brown

Eye Color: Brown

All of these are a tremendous influence on his career and the action roles he usually plays on screen but it didn’t all work out for him without a lot of gym time to achieve that demigod look.

Net Worth

Dwayne Johnson has built a successful career from WWE to Hollywood, so it’s not surprising how he has immersed a whopping net worth of  $220 million over the years.

In 2018, he reportedly earned an income of $124 million from his Ballers HBO series and movies. After Forbes named him highest-paid actor in the history of the publication’s celebrity 100, Johnson addressed his fans on Instagram to reveal that before raking in millions, he started with $7bucks per week and his days of wrestling in flea markets brought him $40bucks per match. But now, an eight-figure payday has become a norm according to Go Banking Rate.

According to him, his only boss is “the world,”  and his goals remain the same as before, which is to “always put” his “audience first” and “send you home happy.”

Dwayne Johnson Diet

Dwayne Johnson

Like most of us who try to stick to a healthy diet every now and then, Dwayne Johnson enjoys cheat meal but not like anything you might be able to handle. I bet a gluttonous cheat meal cookie train rolls sounds familiar, except that it’s a giant cookie.

The WWE wrestler cum actor and producer has been very revealing about the food he would usually devour on a daily bases and at one time while 40,000ft off the ground, Johnson posted a photo of his “plain grilled chicken and white rice” on his IG page. Contrary to what you expect, Johnson is not all out for salad and veggies as far as his massive muscles are concerned. His diet plans are a whole bunch of all cheat meals which ranges from Sushi Train to Cookie Train (one with his “signature double stuffed chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies with real peanut butter in the middle.”) and of course,  Pan Cakes.

To sum it all up, his bodybuilding diet includes 10 pounds of food each day and while building his muscles to play Hercules in 2014, he revealed his insane “12 Labor Diet” which is a seven meal per day diet. For his role on G.I. Joe: Retaliation, he stuck to a 14-week diet.

For shooting the movie, Hobbs & Shaw, this is the kind of meal Dwayne John have to devor and that makes us wonder if why he also has to be as gigantic as his carcass. Now take a good look at that giant pizza, doesn’t the mere sight of it already wrecked your appetite?

The rookie with WWE is simply a show off with his diet of egg whites, oatmeal and blueberries. and not so much of drinking except for a short of tequila special occasions.
