1   135g Desiccated Coconut (thin flakes) 

2.  125ml Sweetened Condensed Milk


Peel off the bark of the coconut to achieve a clear white and thin sliced coconut.

Mix 1 cup of grated coconut and sweetened condensed milk together until they are thoroughly combined.

With clean wet palms, mold the mixture into balls.

Roll each ball in the remaining coconut and chill in the fridge for few hours before serving.

1.  1 cup grated/desiccated coconut 

2.   110g cup sugar 

3.  227g cups unsweetened dried or freshly grated coconut

4.  Tablespoon butter

5.  125ml sweetened condensed milk (1/2 cup)

6. 1/2 cup Milk

7.  2 tablespoons vanilla extract

8.  Food coloring of your choice

Grease a pan or a rectangular container.

Melt the butter in a non-stick pan on low heat.

Add sugar, condensed milk, milk, coconut, vanilla extract, and food coloring.

Stir gently and steadily until the sugar dissolves and coconut clumps together for about 15 minutes.

Transfer mixture to the prepared pan. Using the spatula, smoothen the surface and press it down gently with plastic wrap or wax paper.

Then set candy aside to cool for about 30 minutes.

Cut into bars or cubes with a greased knife so as to get a smooth cut.

Keep the coconut candy in a cool and dry place set overnight.

Remove the bars from pan, store in an air-tight container and refrigerate for as long as 3 weeks.

For the type of coconut candy, you definitely don’t need extra sugar since the honey and sweetened condensed milk covers it. However, it is still up to you to decide how sweet you want it to be.


1. 125 ml Honey

2. 3 cups thin slice coconut (with the bark)

3. Sweetened Condensed milk

4. Glucose syrup.


Mix honey, condensed milk and glucose syrup together in the non sticky pan under a low heat.

Remove the mixture from the heat and pour in the thinly sliced coconut. Mix together until combined.

Coat your palms with dry desiccated coconut and, mold the mixture into balls. Allow the candy to set for some minutes

Store in an airtight jar or container and refrigerate for up to a month.
