Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies comes in a variety of recipes and while most of them are super yummy, you can only eat one at a time to savor the taste.

The presence of chocolate chips is what makes it what it is – a chocolate chip cookies. Its taste is all so familiar to us; flavorful, soft, chewy and full of chocolate. You can easily whip up a batch of chocolate chip cookies whenever you feel like it because it’s so easy to make.

All you need is the basic ingredients which you can put a little twist to come up with a cookie recipe of your taste. While you might be trying to cut back on sugar, you don’t have to use the same quantity as indicated on the list of ingredients listed below.

Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients for chocolate chip cookies recipe

2 1/2 cups (320g) all-purpose Flour

1/2 Tbsp corn starch (optional)

3/4 cup Butter (at room temperature)

1/2 cup White granulated sugar

3/4 brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 egg

1 cup Chocolate chips

2 teaspoon vanilla essence

1/2 teaspoon of salt

Directions

Step 1: Sift the flour, cornstarch, salt and baking soda with a sieve into a clean dry bowl and set aside

Step 2: Whisk the sugar and butter until smooth and fluffy – you can use a food processor if you have one, but a wooden spoon can serve.

Step 3:  Add the egg and vanilla flavor and continue to whisk until they’re thoroughly combined.

Step 4: Pour in the dry ingredients (step 1) into the mix and gently combine them to form a soft dough.

Step 5:  Fold in the chocolate chips into the dough, mold into a ball and refrigerate for about an hour and a half.

Step 6: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bring out the chocolate chip cookie dough from the refrigerator. Scoop a tablespoon full each and place 3 inches apart on a baking tray, lined with parchment paper.

Step 7: Using the bottom of a cup, press down each cookie dough lightly

Step 8: Bake for 18 minutes, bring out from the oven and stick more chocolate chips on top of the cookies while it’s still hot.

Step 9: Bring out the chocolate chip cookies from the oven and allow to cool on the sheet for about 10 minutes. Then transfer to the cookie rack to cool off completely.
