Instructions

To make chili recipe, start by browning the ground beef in a skillet with garlic, some onions and salt, drain off any fat and then take the beef to slow cooker.

Pour the olive oil into a large pot over medium heat, add the chopped bacon and sauté until crisp and tender.

Stir in the beef and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until it is thoroughly browned. Add more olive oil if the meat is sticking to the bottom of the pan, even while on medium heat.

Add the Worcestershire sauce once your meat is properly cooked

As for the beans, you can either go for canned beans or you go for the raw ones and cook from scratch, which will take a couple of hours to cook. If you’re using canned beans, make sure to drain and rinse it to remove excess starches and salt.

Otherwise, cook the raw beans (black beans and red kidney beans) separately until tender, drain the water and set aside.

Now it’s time to add the rest of the ingredients: chopped onion, bell peppers, garlic, fire-roasted chilli, beans and corn. Mix it all together, and let it simmer for about 4 hours and keep warm until ready to serve.
