Her fans were delighted at hearing the announcement that Ariana is now the new face of Givenchy.

The Grammy award winner is obviously excited about the latest addition to her long line of accomplishments. Some of her accolades include three American Music awards, two Billboard Music Awards, five Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and one Grammy Award. Her song Thank U, Next surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify in just 11 days of its release. It became the fastest song in history to reach this milestone.

Biography, Age

Ariana Grande’s birthplace is Boca Raton, Florida, born on June 26 1993, to parents Joan Grande, the CEO of Hose McCann communications and Edward Grande, the owner of a graphic design firm in Boca Raton. Her Parents named her ‘Ariana’, a name inspired by ‘Princess Oriana’, which is a cartoon character from Felix the Cat.

She has an older half brother, Frankie Grande and she also adores her Maternal Grandmother, Marjorie Grande.

Her journey into the entertainment world started at quite a young age. She was a performer with the Fort Lauderdale Children’s theater where she played the role of Annie. She was also a performer at the musicals of The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the beast and also performed on a cruise ship when she was 8 years.

At age 13, Ariana Grande had already known exactly what she wanted to do with her life. Even though she was already playing different roles in various movies such as ‘Cat’ in the Nickelodeon television show “Victorious”, she still wanted to make a career in music. She soon got a voice coach Eric Vetro to strengthen her vocal range. Her desire and resilience soon paid off.

The recordings which she posted on YouTube, got to Monte Lipman, the CEO of Republic records who later signed her first musical contract. This led to the release of her first single in December 2011 titled Put Your Hearts Up.

Her first studio album Yours truly was released on 30th August 2003 and sold 138,000 copies in its first week as well as debuting in the US Billboard chart.

Grande has been unstoppable in spilling out songs that have continuously topped charts all over the world such as Problem, Break free and Bang Bang.

Ariana Grande’s Height

Ariana Grande has a lean and petite physique but appears much taller on stage. This could be as a result of her penchant for miniskirts and high heeled knee-high boots. Despite having a height of 5′ 0″ (1.52m); just 1 inch short than Lady Gaga, her energy on stage is as electrifying as her vocal prowess.

Moreover, a standard body measurement of 32-24-32 more than compensates for the lean figure of the self-confessed vegan. Her other body stats include:

Bra size: 32A

Shoe size: 6 (US)

Dress size: 2 (US)

Weight: 47kg (104 lbs)

The Pop princess’s natural hair colour is brown. She had to dye it red every other week while playing Cat on Victorious because the producer felt it suited her character better. The constant dying ruined her hair hence she had been wearing hair extensions ever since. With the followership of up to 155 million people on Instagram, Ariana Grande is definitely a petite but mighty celebrity.

Ariana Grande Food Allergy

As funny as it may sound, Grande actually has certain food allergy issues besides being allergic to cats. She is also on a not-so-good term with shellfish and some types of cough medicines. She recently added bananas to her list of forbidden items.

Ariana Grande Tattoos

Ariana’s love for tattoos has no bounds. She has repeatedly used the inked art to convey her affection for quite a number of things ranging from her pet dog Mykro to her love for Harry Potter, and down to nicknames given to her by her family. She has tattoos for her song in the  Sweetener album titled Breathin.

Following the successful release of her song 7 rings, Ariana decided to have her hand-inked in tribute. But the singer got more than she bargained for when she misspelt the word and turned it into something totally different. She got the Japanese BBQ grill shichirin instead, and people have been laughing their heads off, over the hilarious mistake.

However, she had tried to amend the food tattoo blunder which was written in kanji but supposedly made it worse, it now reads Japanese BBQ finger.

The Charitable singer also has a tattoo Manchester Bee in honour of the victims of the suicide bomb attack on May 22, 2017, in Manchester. The attack took place at the foyer of Manchester arena after her concert. Despite having a  Post-traumatic stress disorder and Anxiety disorder as a result of the blast, Ariana Grande was able to organize a fundraiser on June 4, 2017, to assist the victims and their families.

The event pulled a total of $23 million dollars. This act of kindness earned her recognition as the first Honorary Citizen of Manchester by the city council.
