Alexus Whilby is the ex-wife of Kyle Chrisley of “Chrisley Knows Best,” a TV show that brought immense fame and popularity to members of the Chrisley family. Whilby who is an account manager at the ALTA Language services rose to prominence after her marriage to Kyle Chrisley.   

Biography of Alexus Whilby 

Alexus Whilby was born in 1991 in Georgia, United States.  According to her Instagram page, she was raised in France and is Jamaican by blood. She also has two brothers, Gregory and Patrick Whilby. Her parents are Isaac Samuel Whilby who were married for decades before getting a divorce. Her father later remarried but died in 2017 at the age of 63.

Alexus Whilby attended the Middle Georgia College for her education and also had an undergraduate degree in science program from the University of Oglethorpe. 

Career

Wilby began to work at the ALTA Language services in 2014, serving as an account manager at the firm. After she wedded Kyle Chrisley, she became a famous personality and is in charge of some businesses.

As an entrepreneur, she is the director and co-owner of Whilby’s Company LLC in Georgia and also the co-owner of Home Designs and Business Development.  

Alexus Whilby Marriage, Divorce, Ex-husband’s Drug Addiction

Alexus Whilby got married to Kyle Chrisley in 2014. They formed a band called “Lexi and Kyle Chrisley” and released their song titled, Shame on You in 2014.  Additionally, she stood by him as he struggled to overcome the drug addiction that kicked him out of the “Chrisley Knows Best” show and sent him to rehab.

Nevertheless, the problem persisted which made Whilby file for divorce in 2019 after which he threatened to kill her.

 Meanwhile, Kyle Chrisley was formerly in a relationship with Angela Victoria Johnson and they have a daughter named Chloe Chrisley. She featured prominently in the “Chrisley Knows Best” TV show. The couple ended the relationship after Kyle attacked her due to his addiction.

This and other incidents of domestic violence towards his ex-girlfriend made him lose custody of his daughter Chloe is now under her mom’s and grandfather Todd Chrisley’s care. 

As time went by, Chloe’s mother, Angela, was denied her daughter’s custody after evidence showed that she listed Chloe as a dependent and was thus defrauding Medicaid and food stamps. Therefore, Chloe’s grandfather got full custody of the girl.

Kyle Chrisley, on the other hand, was unhappy about the development and had accused his father of using Chloe to improve the ratings of his show. But the feud between father and son was settled after Kyle confessed to lying against Todd.

Meanwhile, Alexus Whilby’s marriage to Kyle Chrisley faced a lot of challenges. In 2019, she filed a complaint against Kyle for allegedly threatening her with murder. Kyle has had several charges brought on him for drug trafficking and possessions.  He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and has undergone therapy for his condition.

He once attempted suicide in August 2019 but luckily survived. Afterward, his entire family came around to encourage him and assure him of their support as he tries to overcome his addiction.

Whilby and her ex-husband have moved on since their divorce. According to online sources, Kyle Chrisley got married to Ashleigh Nelson in March 2021 and Alexus Whilby allegedly has a daughter named Princess Jas who she is raising alone while focusing on her career.
