Alicia Etheredge met Bobby Brown before he met and married Whitney Houston.

Alicia Etheredge has been with Bobby Brown through thick and thin and is now known as his wife and mother of three of his 7 children. Beyond her place as Brown’s partner, she is also his manager, a businesswoman, and a producer.

In her career, Etheredge is famed for the production of films and series such as The Madness (2023), Biography: Bobby Brown (2022), and Outsider’s Inn (2008).

She was in Bobby Brown’s Before He Met Whitney Houston

Alicia and Bobby Brown met at a dance place sometime in 1986/1987 and became friends.

In 1989, Brown met Whitney Houston and started as friends before they became romantically involved. They married in 1992.

Interestingly, Alicia witnessed their wedding and played an important role.

On the day of the wedding, Bobby developed cold feet and although his friends and brother tried to get him out of the bathroom for his wedding with the Greatest Love of All singer, it proved difficult.

It was Alicia who spoke to him and was able to get him out of the bathroom and to his wedding with Houston.

Alicia and Bobby Brown Married the Same Year Whitney Died

After Bobby’s divorce from Whitney, he met Alicia again. This time, their relationship didn’t stop at friendship but as lovers. In May 2010, the Every Little Step singer proposed to Alicia on stage at the Funk Fest concert in Jacksonville, Florida.

The couple married in Hawaii in June 2012. This was the same year his first wife, Whitney died (on February 11, 2012).

The wedding was held shortly after Bobby’s performance at the New Edition concert.

Their union has been picture-perfect and Bobby has credited her to helping him and giving him back his life and music.

Nonetheless, Alicia told Essence that:

…like all marriages, you have your challenging times, and we’ve definitely gone through that, but we’ve stuck with each other as partners in all ways of life. When Bobby and I first started working with each other, it was kind of getting him back out there and reviving him from being a stay-at-home dad and kind of off the grid for a little bit.

Alicia Etheredge is a Mother of Three

Alicia has a son, Cassius Brown, and two daughters Bodhi Brown and Hendrix Brown. Cassius is the oldest and was born in 2009 before Alicia and Brown were married. He was the ring bearer at their wedding.
