Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. She is the daughter of a famous musical artist, Elvis Presley, and his wife, Priscilla Presley, an actor and businesswoman. Lisa Presleyā€™s parents divorced in 1773 when she was four years old, and she went to live with her mother in Los Angeles.

However, Priscilla began to raise Lisa alone after the demise of Elvis Presley when she was 9 years old and she also began to date actor Michael Garibaldi after the death of her Elvis in 1977. Meanwhile, because Lisa was the only child of Elvis Presley, she inherited her fatherā€™s Graceland Residence and also became the sole heir to her fatherā€™s estate after her grandfather and her great-grandmother died. Her musical career took off with the release of her debut album, To Whom It May Concern, on April 8, 2003. It contains songs like ā€œLights Outā€, and was gold certified, and also reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200 charts. Lisaā€™s later dropped her second album in 2005, and the third one, Storm and Grace, in 2012.

Lisa Presley was married four times and they all ended in divorce. Among her husband was the legendary musician, Michael Jackson. She had a total of four children from her marriages including her late son, Benjamin.

Lisaā€™s first marriage was to musician Danny Keough, in 1988. She welcomed two children with him namely, daughter Riley (born, in 1989) and son Benjamin (born, in 1992). However, the couple called it quits after 5 years of marriage and completed their divorce in 1994. Their son Benjamin, on July 12, 2020, in Calabasas, California at the age of 27. Lisa Marie passed away on January 12, 2023, after suffering from a cardiac arrest. There is no foul play in her death, as the cause has been discovered to be a ā€œsmall bowel obstructionā€ caused by a bariatric surgery she had taken. The obstruction was caused by adhesions also known as scar tissue that formed after surgery. This is a known long-term complication of the weight loss surgery she underwent some years ago according to the medical examinerā€™s office. Although opioids were discovered in her system, it was ruled out as possible cause of death because they were found to be at a normal range.

Recall that paramedics were alerted of Lisa Marieā€™s heart attack around 10:30 at her home in Calabasas, California. Her heart was restarted via CPR en route to West Hills Hospital in Los Angeles. However, she later died the same day at the age of 54, one month shy of her 55thĀ birthday. Her mother broke the sad news with a devastating message ā€œIt is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left usā€

The news of her unfortunate death quickly spread with millions mourning her death. Her last public appearance was reported to have been two days earlier when she attended the 80thĀ Golden Globe Awards with her mother. A public memorial service was held in her honor at Graceland on January 22, 2023. Later, her remains were buried in the Graceland Meditation Garden.
