Willa Jonas and Delphine Jonas are the daughters of English actress Sophie Turner, who is well-known for playing Sansa Stark in the popular American fantasy drama TV series Game of Thrones. Their mother was married to their father, an American singer, songwriter, and actor, Joe Jonas of the pop-rock band Jonas Brothers.
Their parents were married for only four years, and everything went south, leading to a divorce in 2023. The reason for the divorce has been stated; however, both parents issued a joint statement on social media, revealing that they have ended their union amicably.
Here’s everything you need to know about Sophie Turner’s daughters.
Willa Jonas, Sophie Turner’s Eldest Daughter
Willa Jonas, Sophie Turner’s first daughter, was born on July 22, 2020, in a Los Angeles hospital. Her birth came 14 months after her parents’ wedding. Despite sharing the news of her birth with family and friends, her parents initially kept details about her private.
According to People.com, her mother later took to Instagram and posted a picture revealing a new tattoo—a small “W” on her wrist beneath the letter “J.” It was dedicated to her.
Willa has a younger sister, Delphine, who was born two years after her.
Regarding ethnicity, Willa is English through her mother and American through her father. Additionally, she is of Italian origin, as her father’s family hails from Italy.
Willa Jonas Is Sophie Turner’s Youngest Daughter

It’s what life is about for me—raising the next generation.
She also mentioned that she wasn’t sure if her older daughter, Willa, was aware that she was about to become a big sister.

Their Parents Married on May 1, 2019
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner married on May 1, 2019, in the little white wedding chapel, in front of their closest friends and loved ones. The ceremony was broadcast on Instagram Live and came as a surprise to many, as the duo had attended the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas before exchanging their vows.
After the wedding, Jonas and Turner hosted an after-party at their hotel to celebrate.
Additionally, they had a second wedding at Château de Tourreau in southern France in June 2019. This event was intentionally low-key; the location remained a secret, and the paparazzi were kept at bay. Subsequently, the couple revealed their official wedding photos to the world.
The two first met through mutual friends in 2016 and started dating, but they kept most of it away from the public eye. A year later, they got engaged when Jonas proposed to Sophie with a $150,000 diamond ring.
Willa And Delphine’s Parents Divorced 4 Years Later
While everyone thought everything was going smoothly for Willa and Delphine’s parents, odd news made the rounds: their father, Joe, filed for divorce. The petition for the marriage to be dissolved was filed by him on September 5, 2023, in Miami-Dade County, Florida, as the union was ‘irretrievably broken.’
The petition also stated that Willa and Delphine had been residing with their father in Miami and other parts of the country; however, it is in the best interest of the two girls, who are minors, that their parents have shared custody.
A day after the petition was filed, their parents issued a joint statement on their individual Instagram accounts, announcing that they had mutually decided to amicably end their marriage after four years.
Taking note of the various narratives about the reason for divorce, they insisted that it was a united decision and urged everyone to respect their wishes for privacy for themselves and their daughters.
At the time the divorce was filed, Willa was three years old, and Delphine was one.
Their Mother Sued Their Father To Return Them To England
Two weeks after the divorce was filed, Willa and Delphine’s mother, Sophie Turner, sued their father, Joe Jonas, on September 21, 2023, demanding that he return them to England.
According to their mother’s petition filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, their father refused to hand over their passports to her, thus preventing them from returning to their ‘habitual residence’ in England.
Willa and Delphine have dual citizenship: the United States and Britain. However, their father’s representative revealed that a Florida court order filing restricted both parents from relocating the children. So handing over passports would mean violating the order.
He further added that the children’s father is seeking shared parenting so they can be raised by both parents, and he is also okay with them being raised both in the U.S. and the U.K.
At this time, there is no report indicating whether the case has been concluded or not.
